Campers

The camp’s mission is to provide a wilderness summer camp experience for disadvantaged youth aged 9-13 who otherwise would not have that opportunity. Thanks to community sponsorships, fundraising efforts and generous donors, Camp Northern Light offers subsidies for children from a low socio-economic background. Parents are invited to fill out applications in the spring for a chance to attend camp this summer!

Counsellors

In addition to providing a summer camp experience for children, Camp Northern Lights also provides valuable experience for young people in the role of camp counsellors. High School students gain important leadership skills while meeting their volunteer requirements during a week they will never forget. Over 300 young people experience the joy of Camp Northern Lights every summer.

Leadership

Leadership Camp at Camp Northern Lights is an adventure based community focused experience designed for high school aged students completing grades 9, 10 or 11.  ORCKA certification!  Outdoor learning!  Sleepouts!  This year’s leadership program will be piloted for students finishing grade 9.
